What is payment orchestration?
Payment orchestration is a layer that connects a business to multiple payment processors and routes each transaction to the best one — handling retries, failover, and reconciliation through a single integration, instead of wiring up and maintaining each processor separately.

As a business grows into new regions or pursues better acceptance rates, a single payment processor stops being enough. Different acquirers perform better in different countries, and relying on one creates a single point of failure. Payment orchestration solves this by sitting between the application and several processors behind one consistent interface.
With an orchestration layer in place, a business can route each charge to the processor with the best economics or acceptance for that region or customer, automatically retry on a backup processor when the primary declines, and reconcile transactions and webhooks from many processors in one place. The application makes a single API call and the orchestration layer decides where the money actually flows.
GetPaidHQ provides payment orchestration as part of an open-source, self-hostable billing engine, so the routing logic and payment data stay on infrastructure you control rather than inside a hosted vendor.
