Practical examples for fixed, metered, tiered, and hybrid pricing.
Fixed subscription
Use one fixed recurring price when every billing cycle charges the same base amount.
Usage-only subscription
Use one recurring metered price. This fits pure consumption products such as API calls, storage, or usage minutes.
Hybrid subscription
Put a fixed recurring price and a metered recurring price in the same order. The fixed price gives the subscription a base fee; the metered price adds usage at cycle close.
Tiered usage
Use volume or graduated tiers when the unit price changes by quantity.
Filtered meter slices
Use filters when one meter has multiple billable slices, for example region or feature.
